Emma’s September Reviews

As usual, Emma has been very lucky this month as a blogger’s kid and has received loads of things to play with and review. The most impressive item she received this month was the Animation Studio from HUE. This simple yet very clever creative kit has received numerous awards in the past and is known to be the best stop motion animation studio for non-professional use there is around. The studio comes with a flexible neck camera with a built-in microphone and animation software that can easily be downloaded into any computer or laptop. There is a school version for the software as well and older children can use small toys, Lego and modelling clay to create unique scenarios they can film and process themselves into short movies. We did not create anything worth making public just as yet but Emma has been very eager to put her imagination and role play into film and I can see her using the HUE Animation Studio loads as she grows up. The kit retails at £49.95 , …

Father’s Day Gifts with a difference and giveaway

Sunday the 21st of June will mark Father’s Day here in the UK. If you have a fussy husband as I do, who is not content with the easy and practical gift of a set of boxers, booze or a hearty meal, then you may want to consider these three alternatives as possible gifts. Hello Hungry liquid meals in a box. I was sent the three versions of Hello Hungry to sample and review a few weeks back. It was during the very stressful month of May (I wrote about in my previous post) and I was feeling rotten with repeated throat infections and colds. I used the drinks not as lunches but as mid-morning snacks. Very handy and packed with healthy stuff your body needs “for survival in the office(or in my case, school) jungle“, the drinks gave my mornings a boost and dare I say, helped my compromised immune system survive the stress? I was not too partial to the tomato and basil version(personal taste, nothing to do with the product) but I …

Emma’s May Reviews (Part One)

Emma has been a very lucky girl this month and was sent a lot of beautiful things to sample and play with. The first thing that we were sent to review and that brought joy to both of us is a birthday party supply kit from Party Bags and Supplies. I know, I know, her birthday is in November but Emma LOVES the mere mention of the day and I love that fact that I will not have to worry about at least part of her party bags and supplies! Emma will be 6 in November but given the choice, she still went for the Disney Princess Sparkle Party Pack, which comes with 8 filled party bags, paper cups and plates, 20 napkins and a table cover. Every mummy out there who has had to prepare(and stress over) party bags, would understand my excitement over the ones provided in the pack! They contain a small Disney Princess wand, a Disney Princess sticker sheet, a Disney Princess vanity mirror and one pack of Haribo Strawberry sweets. …

Mini iPad cover review

Finally, new post on the blog, the last week has been a bit rough and I have barely found time to eat, let alone blog. But I do miss it so and I am glad to be back with a couple of cracker products to review! I was sent TWO mini iPad cases in the last couple of weeks to review. I found both brilliant, easy to use and visually pleasing but they are certainly aimed at a different age group clientele. The first one was sent to us by Mr Nutcase. We were actually given a voucher code in order to redeem a free mini iPad case of our choice and offered free postage as well. Since it was just before Valentine’s, I decided to go for the Heart Confetti, Mini Ultra Light Weight Slimline Case. The Ultra Light cases retail at £19.95 and as I mentioned above, postage is free. I was impressed with the fact that the order was processed within a few hours and the cover was on its way before …
