Mini iPad cover review

Finally, new post on the blog, the last week has been a bit rough and I have barely found time to eat, let alone blog. But I do miss it so and I am glad to be back with a couple of cracker products to review! I was sent TWO mini iPad cases in the last couple of weeks to review. I found both brilliant, easy to use and visually pleasing but they are certainly aimed at a different age group clientele. The first one was sent to us by Mr Nutcase. We were actually given a voucher code in order to redeem a free mini iPad case of our choice and offered free postage as well. Since it was just before Valentine’s, I decided to go for the Heart Confetti, Mini Ultra Light Weight Slimline Case. The Ultra Light cases retail at £19.95 and as I mentioned above, postage is free. I was impressed with the fact that the order was processed within a few hours and the cover was on its way before …

Neuner’s: teas for new mothers and babies

As a Romanian, I am well aware of the benefits of herbal teas for lactating mothers and colicky babies. My mum actually had on the post for me even before baby was born but I was delighted when I saw another fellow blogger reviewing similar teas, available now to breastfeeding mummies in the UK! Neuner’s is worthy company which is now distributing 100% natural and organic nursing and baby stomach ease teas.

Product Review: Jasinski, a shop with a difference

Guys and gals, as you may know, I am a stay at home mum since the beginning of the summer. Hubby works extremely hard to not only provide the necessities but to ensure we have above and beyond. For which I am grateful. But also have felt guilty over for ages. So at the end of this summer I decided to give blogging a real go. I have had this blog for the past two years nearly but I was using it mainly as a form of release. Then, in September, I decided to use it as a source of income. To supplement what hubby brings in. And more importantly, to feel worthy and useful as a partner and mummy. I was thrilled when, approaching lovely Dorota from the ethical Jasinski for a review opportunity, she agreed to send over a couple of products for the children to try. The excellent service didn’t stop here though. Dorota was in contact several times, giving me an option of organic material, pattern and product. When the leggings …

Review: The Weekend Box

Last week Emma was sent an Weekend Box to review. The idea behind it is ingeniously simple: you get a box which contains four different crafts and activities for the children to do over the weekend. The four activities you can expect to receive in the box(although they vary every week) fall into the following categories: Something to Cook Something to Make Something to Explore and Something Green I am not at all craft inclined, if anything, I am actually craft-challenged and every opportunity I get to use anyone else’s ideas (and be provided with the necessary material!) gives me a thrill and brings an incredible sense of relief 🙂 Emma got straight into it, as soon as she got from playgroup and we first took a good look at our activities, then she got to choose what she wanted to do first: She went for “something to make” and we had a delightful time using coloured sand and glue to create tulips and an Irish gold pot :-). The activities come with step-by-step, easy …

Keeping the time

I am a punctual person. Actually, if you want to stress me out completely, just give me an appointment and not enough time to make it in time for it! I am the sort of human being who knows EXACTLY how long it would take to get from A to B, mishaps, possible traffic and delays carefully considered. Also, as a driver, I would know PRECISELY the perfect route for your type of morning. Slightly delayed? Take the dual carriageway, but not after 8.55, as there are trains going past around the time. Leisurely paced?  The top road but try and avoid the North Road, schools and possible delays there… It took hubby a while to get used to me and my way of being, especially since he is the exact opposite! He leaves everything for the last moment, and I mean, the last! If you lived next to us, you would see him permanently dashing through the door, harassed look on his face and all. If you lived with us, you would have to …
